NFL action to have you on the edge of your seat

As the first purpose-built NFL stadium outside of the USA, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium takes centre stage for two games every year.

As well as the action on the pitch, fans can enjoy all the spectacle of the NFL right in the heart of London – cheerleaders, half-time show and even a military fly by.

Teams and officials have dedicated locker rooms while the match is played on an artificial NFL field underneath the Stadium’s revolutionary retractable grass soccer pitch.

Minnesota Vikings vs New Orleans Saints

2 October 2022

Minnesota Vikings won a North v South thriller 28-25 against New Orleans Saints as NFL returned to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

In the end, it was a tale of two field goals from Saints kicker Will Lutz, both inside the final two minutes of the fourth quarter.

Minnesota Vikings won a thriller 28-25 against New Orleans Saints as NFL returned to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Green and Gold led Black and Gold 13-7 at half-time after QB Kirk Cousins found Alexander Mattison for a touchdown and Joseph kicked two field goals. Saints responded with a four-yard touchdown as QB Andy Dalton found Chris Olave.

Following a half-time show from Yungblud, it was straight back to the action as another field goal from Joseph gave the Vikes a lead 16-7 early in the third quarter before Saints pegged them back to 16-14 thanks to a touchdown from Latavius Murray.

It was end-to-end in a frenetic final quarter. Saints took the lead 22-19 when Taysom Hill touched down following a 75-yard drive. Vikings edged back ahead at 25-22 with 4.17 minutes remaining as Cousins picked out Justin Jefferson for a touchdown – but crucially Joseph missed the extra point.

Lutz levelled the scores at 25-25 with a field goal from 60-yards out – one of the longest successful field goals in Saints’ history – only for the Vikings to re-take the lead with a Joseph's fifth field goal, making it 28-25 with 29 seconds left.

Saints worked an opportunity for Lutz to go for goal from 61 yards out. The kick had the distance but clipped left post, dropped down on to the cross bar and bounced back on to the pitch. On such margins…

The latest chapter in one of the greatest rivalries in the NFL played out in Europe for the first time in the history of the game when New York Giants took on the Green Bay Packers at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Inspired by star running back Saquon Barkley, the Giants squared off against Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay Packers in a thriller in N17.

It was the Packers who made the better start with Rodgers – a living legend of the game – throwing two touchdown passes to establish a commanding 17-3 lead in the second quarter. But a 40-yard run late from Rodgers led to a touchdown for Daniel Bellinger's to take it to 20-10.

But that was as good as it got for the Packers as Big Blue QB Daniel Jones struck back with first Gary Brightwell and then Barkley scored touchdowns to turn the game on its head in the final quarter as the Giants ran out 27-22 winners.
